Established in 2002 we are the largest independent corporate finance boutique on the South Coast.
We work with our clients to help them determine their strategic aims and to assist them in bringing about a change of shareholding or fundraising.
This includes marketing businesses for sale and project managing management buy-outs/ buy-ins, mergers and acquisitions and raising bank or equity finance. We also provide ongoing strategic advice to companies through retained appointments and non-executive roles as well as valuation advice for shareholders wishing to understand the value of their businesses.
We have an enviable record of successful transactions – completing over 90% of our engagements, which is well above the industry average. We recruit into the team to ensure that our skills are relevant to deal doing and whilst we only provide Corporate Finance advice, members of our team have worked directly in industry, accountancy, banking, venture capital, due diligence and corporate law.

We understand that making your choice of adviser is critical and you need to have the confidence that they will successfully deliver a given transaction. At Meridian, we believe that you will rarely get more than one chance to sell your business or complete a management buy-out which drives the need to have good quality advice from seasoned professionals.
Our fees are largely success based. We do not agree with the practice of charging high non contingent fees and prefer to ‘put our money where our mouths are’ by having lower up-front fees with (generally) 80% of our fees being success related, payable on completion of the transaction.
Where our clients see we can add ongoing value, we invest alongside incoming management buy-out/buy-in teams and often take up non-executive Board positions.
