About the deal

Meridian Corporate Finance Ltd (“Meridian”) advised the shareholders of Coopers Fire Ltd (“Coopers”) on their sale to Lowe & Fletcher Ltd.
Based in Portsmouth, for the past 30 years Coopers has been a market leader in the innovation and manufacture of fire and smoke curtains.

Lowe & Fletcher are one of the UK's largest lock manufacturers and lock suppliers, specialising in the design and manufacture of a wide range of locking systems for industry. They are part of Euro Locks, a  privately owned international group, supplying more than 50 million products each year.

Coopers Fire former Managing Director and majority shareholder Andrew Cooper said of his experience; “Meridian provides a wholly professional performance supported by a hands-on personal service and tenacious attention to detail. This is invaluable when they are handling something as sensitive as the sale of a business which has been your life’s work. They manage expectation and they ‘own’ the sale of your business as if it is their own. They deliver what they promise. I recommend them by the best reference possible – I will be using Mike and the team on future transactions.”

Michael Barcia, Director of Meridian commented; “We are delighted to have been able to help Andrew realise the fruits of his life’s work! Coopers is an excellent business that will continue to innovate and thrive under its new ownership.”
