Basingstoke headquartered HCR Group is one of the UK's largest providers of UK and international employee relocation, together with property related services. Darren Thompson had served on the Board for just over 2 years, from Meridian’s original investment until the exit in June 2016.
This is the fourth transaction on which Meridian have worked with the shareholders of HCR, which was jointly led by Darren Thompson and Michael Barcia. Meridian invested alongside the management team in 2014 and the exit in 2016 allowed the original owners to sell their remaining shareholding to the management team and retire from the business, as well as providing Meridian with a return on their investment.
