Dan spent ten years in banking, the first half of this time as a Credit Officer covering international financial institutions and the second half in Structured Finance, lending into UK PE buyouts and leveraged corporate financings. Dan then became a relationship banker managing a portfolio of leveraged FTSE 250 Leisure Companies before moving from London to the South Coast.
After a year providing financial modelling to regional businesses (including a transformational £70m acquisition for a pre-IPO online retail company), Dan joined the strong and highly regarded team at Meridian. Since joining, he has worked on mandates ranging from sub-£1m trade disposals, to £34m sales to multinational new entrants. He has also assisted the structuring of a number of succession-focussed MBOs funded by bank debt, ranging in deal size from £7m to £20m and allowing founder-owners to step back at the right pace for them.
I greatly enjoy the range of businesses and characters we work for, together with the challenge to find bespoke options that recognise their goals and situation. I am still struck by the depth and breadth of relationships that Meridian has built through the region, stretching back 15 years and I look forward to continuing this through our personable and professional approach into the future.
In my spare time I am a keen sailor and am often found sailing on the Solent Waters.
